Publishing guidelines

UEFN Ducky Store

Publishing guidelines

These rules apply to every skill-pack and desktop plugin submitted to the Store. We review each submission before it goes live so the community can install with confidence.

What you can publish

  • Useful skill-packs and desktop plugins that help creators work in UEFN Ducky
  • Clear titles, descriptions, and categories that match what the pack actually does
  • Code and assets you own, or that you have the right to redistribute
  • A LICENSE file in the public repository, named on the Store listing. Most plugins are open source; some are not — say which. Do not call UEFN Ducky itself open source (the desktop app is source-available)
  • Packs that follow Epic Games / Fortnite / UEFN terms of service for creator tools
  • Honest update notes when you ship a new version

What is not allowed

  • Malicious Verse, scripts, or binaries — malware, backdoors, credential theft, crypto miners, remote code execution, or anything that harms users or their machines
  • Phishing, scam flows, or deceptive installs that trick people into giving up accounts, tokens, or money
  • NSFW, adult, pornographic, or sexually explicit content (including names, icons, descriptions, and sample assets)
  • Hate, harassment, illegal content, or material that promotes violence or real-world harm
  • Stolen, cracked, or pirated code, assets, or licenses — including Epic, Fortnite, or third-party IP you do not have rights to
  • Spam, empty stub packs, or listings that misrepresent what the plugin does
  • Attempts to bypass Store review, hide payloads, or obfuscate harmful behavior

Quality bar

Ship something people can trust and actually use.

  1. It works. Installs cleanly, does not crash the app, and matches your description.
  2. It is clear. Prefer plain naming and docs over hype so users know what they are installing.
  3. It is honest. Do not bundle unrelated telemetry or surprise network calls without disclosing them.
  4. It is safe. Keep dependencies reasonable and never ship secrets or API keys in the pack.

How review works

Every submission is reviewed for safety and basic quality before it is published — by the UEFN Ducky team, and the entire process may be handled entirely by our AI Agents.

We may reject, request changes, or remove a listing later if it violates these guidelines or causes harm after release.

Approval is not a guarantee of fitness for any particular purpose — always test packs in a safe environment.

Legal & responsibility

  • You are solely responsible for the content you submit, including that you have the rights to publish it.
  • You agree not to submit anything illegal, malicious, or that infringes others’ rights.
  • UEFN Ducky is not affiliated with Epic Games, Unreal Engine, or Fortnite. Following Epic’s rules is still your responsibility.
  • We may refuse, unpublish, or delete items at our discretion to protect users and the platform.
  • These guidelines may be updated; the version on this page applies at the time of review.
